This lake home addition in Balsam Lake added 330 square feet of usable living space, designed to connect naturally with the existing log home while making the most of the lakefront setting. As our third completed project on this local island, our team brought proven experience working in the unique conditions that come with island construction. From logistics and material transport to maintaining efficiency in a limited-access environment.
One of the biggest focuses on this project was tying the new addition into the original log structure. We used board and batten circle-sawn White Pine siding to complement the existing home, along with a matching metal roof and new windows to bring everything together. A new deck extends the space outdoors and creates a comfortable spot to take in the lake views.
